The kind folks at Faurecia were generous enough to enter the Safety Campaign we designed for them into this year's IABC Renaissance Awards.We won an Award of Merit for Non-Publication Graphic Design. A thank you to IABC and a bigger thank you to Faurecia for thinking we're so great. We love you guys too!

On February 25th, Monique, David, and big brother Ben, welcomed a beautiful, bouncing baby girl, Giada Vianne into the world. A healthy and happy Pisces-Ox, Giada is already showing signs of natural geek! A big congratulations to the Soranno family!

The long-awaited Original Pancake House Online has launched! We must warn, viewing the site may cause irresistable urges to devour sweet, buttery pancakes by the stack. It was a serious challenge for us to control our appetites while working on the site, as drool can ruin keyboards.

oops!
As Monique says, "We fought the law, and the law won." For anyone who had to pay to receive our bookmark (announcing the new site), we profoundly apologize and owe you 20 cents! After mailing a test bookmark, we felt certain our odd-shaped mailers would arrive safely. In fact, most of them did. We are sorry to report however that one post office (we don't like to name names) did not keep with our expectations. So long story short, if you paid for your bookmark — 20 cents off your next bill!

 

Marygrove web launch!
There's no better way to get to know the ins and outs of a college than by redesigning their website. After months of familiarizing ourselves with the inner workings of the college and all of the incredible opportunities Marygrove offers as a school and a community, we unleashed our solution for the College's official web presence this month. With more than 600 pages (and counting) this vast resource is adagio's largest web challenge yet!

first ever [ag] rootbeer-off!
The first ever ag rootbeer-off took place on September 10, here in the ag kitchen. Seven different rootbeers were put to the test, not only for taste, but for package design as well. The winner of the 'best taste' portion turned out to be the underdog (just happened to be in the refrigerator). Curious who won?

adagio takes home the gold
That's right, both Monique and Hailey received coveted golden plungers at the Decorative Toilet Seat Exhibition and Auction, held March 20, benefiting Stagecrafters of Royal Oak. The award for Highest Grossing Seat went to Monique for her entry: "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Dead Fish"! Hailey's seat, "Germ Luv," received the award for Toilet Seat of the Year, as judged by Roto Rooter!

This month we'll be painting potties (well — just the lids). In support of their upcoming production of Urinetown — The Musical, Royal Oak's Stagecrafters will be holding a Decorative Toilet Seat Exhibition and Auction on the 20th of next month; and we plan to be there, lids and all!

It’s septuplets!
At 3AM EST, the D-M-E box set was born! Click here to see the darlings. Kim and Mimi are recovering post-labor [yes, it was a joint pregnancy] and couldn’t be more thrilled. Their father, D-M-E, is also elated and think the children take after their mothers in organization and good looks. Drinks for everyone!

For the third year in a row, Monique has donated a chair for the Have a Seat Auction at Marygrove. This is a great event that invites local and international artists to create items for auction for the college.

As proper design geeks, we thought it about time to spruce up our place a bit. Mimi, an expert antiquer, found two wonderful new doors that fit our crazy dimensions. Our hallway up to the studio is in progress, so come visit and take a peek.

Hailey Myziuk started her new job at adagio Oct. 22, 2007at 9 am. She is happy, healthy and tall (she fits right in). She brings a fresh youthful edge to adagio with detailed illustration and web expertise. All hail Hailey!! Yippy!
