Graphic design and … catalogs? Yes, catalogs are actually designed. People may not think of them as the top of the design food chain, but in fact, they can be some of the most complex and intricate projects we work on. Why? Because they rarely come to us as a whole. Would-be catalogs fly into our office in the form of random photos, drawings, binders, previous catalogs and all other sorts of media. It is our job to sort through this pile equivalent to your grandmother’s taxes and come up with a cohesive, sensible book that makes sense to industry and lay people alike.
