When Marygrove came to us to put together a forensic science direct mail piece, we quickly turned on CSI and started googling all the gritty details of forensic work [you would not believe what maggots do, after you die – so gross]. However, maggot stock art didn’t really give us the visual we were after. Instead, we chose to use the bold colors of police caution tape and posed a juicy question “Do you know which poison smells like almonds?” To find out the answer the reader had to fill out and return the information request. The response was great. Curiosity … the great marketing tool. [no cats were harmed in the production of this piece]
